After a successful start in 2016 Kaiser Maximilian Lauf is offering a complete event weekend in 2017. Choose from either 60km in classic technique on Saturday January 14th or 60km in skating technique on Sunday January 15th. Both with start and finish at the Seekirchl-Arena in Seefeld. The course goes through a spectacular scenery from Mösern, Wildmoos, Buchen and Leutasch before heading back to Seefeld. The classic race is also part of Visma Ski Classics, the long distance ski championship consisting of the 13 most prestigious events.

Seefeld has a well known history hosting international events. The cross-country competitions during the Olympic Games both in 1964 and 1976, the Nordic World Championships in 1933 and 1985 and will also host the Nordic World Championships in 2019.
