The World Championship Queen of 1985, Anette Bøe, is soon back in Seefeld for the winter season and sees Seefeld as her second home. Here she celebrated her biggest triumphs in the 1985 World Championships, gold over 5 and 10 kilometers, silver in relay and bronze over 20 kilometers. Since last year she has spent the winter in Seefeld and is working as a ski instructor in a cross country academy. Anette enjoys the perfect cross-country ski trails starting almost in the middle of the pedestrian zone. When you ask her “What makes Seefeld so unique to you?”, She has many answers.
“The fantastic nature and the perfectly groomed trails with different levels, from easy to difficult, are some of the best I have experienced. The cozy huts along the cross-country ski trails, where you always get a tasty traditional meal and a refreshing drink, are not common in Scandinavia and make cross-country skiing itself to a little event. The friendly and helpful people and the many events make you immediately feel at home.”
She also witnessed Seefeld’s first Kaiser Maximilian run “live” and is very enthusiastic about it.
“The route is beautiful and varied and can be managed by everyone. It also makes sense that the cross-country races take place in the cross-country ski regions, where the know-how, the experience and the snow safety are present. I can only recommend anyone to come to Seefeld and experience the race! Seefeld simply gives positive energy!”
